Me Me Me
I am a designer and musician living in Glasgow’s Southside. I have created branding and packaging for some of Scotland’s favourite artisanal foodies, such as La Gelatessa, The Golden Bottom Bakery and Croque. This work, where I live, and my my interest mid-century advertising inspire my print designs.
My style draws on my love of art found on vintage matchbox labels, postage stamps and beermats. The bold lettering, colours and texture of these things can be found in many of my prints.

Every summer in Pollokshields, Glasgow, local shops sell delicious honey Mangoes. Some pop-up shops appear solely to sell boxes of this cherished golden fruit. It's a small window of time where everything is right with the world, feuding neighbours set aside their differences, lost cats return home, and fireworks go bang at socially acceptable volumes.
I wanted to celebrate this with an illustration, that reflects some of the excitement felt by locals (really).

Glasgow is 850 years old this year, so I wondered what some celebratory postage stamps might look like. It's a playful take, illustrated in a mid-century style, with the colours and texture of old stamps. This is a set of postage stamp style illustrations of some of Glagsow's icons:

I designed this set of coasters after one of many visits to the Laurieston Bar in Glasgow. It’s inspired by the Laurieston Bar, its signage and its surroundings.
There’s the pub, the Subway, O2 Academy and McGhee’s pies, all illustrated in a mid-century style in keeping with the pub itself.
They're approximately 9cm square, they're about 4mm thick with a high gloss finish and a cork back.
They come in a hessian bag which is good for gifting or for taking them down to the pub with you :)
